How Do I Calculate The Length Of The Diagonal Of A Rectangle?

We will let the letter c stand for the length of the diagonal, and the letters a and b stand for the lengths of the sides of the rectangle.

We can then use the following formula to calculate the length of the diagonal.

For example, to calculate the length of the diagonal of a rectangle with sides 620cm and 400cm we would do the following:

The length of the diagonal is approximately 737.83cm.
